Rule #622: If it works for everyone, the recipe’s a win in my book.
These All Purpose Turkey Meatballs are one of those little unicorn recipes that are easy to throw together and can be combined with so many different foods or sauces to make for a healthy, delicious meal.
I love an easy, healthy dinner recipe that’s a hit with the whole family. I love to eat mine with a simple salad, the kids always dip theirs in their favorite sauces (love this Kinders sauce), and Jon Boy likes his with BBQ sauce and roasted veggies.
You can either bake these in your Air Fryer or in the oven. Both turn out just perfectly!
How to Make Ground Turkey Meatballs
First, in a large bowl, add in 1 lb. of lean ground turkey.
Then toss in 1/2 cup of shredded cheese. I like to use mozzarella, but use whatever you’d like!
Next add in 4 minced or pressed garlic cloves.
Now add in 1 tsp. of Italian seasoning, 1/4 tsp. Kosher salt, and 1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper.
Next, you’ll want to crush a chicken bouillon cube. I wrap a cube in a paper towel then use a meat cleaver to smash away. This also does great things for stress levels. You’re welcome!
Finally, toss the smashed bouillon cube into the mixture. Using your hands, mix together until everything is evenly distributed. Form into 1″ meatballs (you’ll get about 20 meatballs).
Air Fryer Ground Turkey Meatballs
Like I said, these All Purpose Turkey Meatballs can be baked in either your air fryer or in the oven. If you’re baking in the air fryer, preheat it to 370. Bake at 370 for 4 minutes, shake the basket, then bake an additional 4 minutes.
I love me a good, easy, healthy air fryer number.
Oven Baked Ground Turkey Meatballs
If you’re going the oven route, preheat to 375. Place meatballs on a silicone baking mat or foil in an evenly-spaced layer. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes, until cooked through.
You can see the estimated nutritional information below in the recipe, but bottom line: they good for ya. I just love these as a go-to for a busy weeknight dinner (and leftovers).
Some side dish and serving recommendations:
These ground turkey meatballs are also very tasty when tossed with some pasta and marinara sauce, chopped up and added to macaroni and cheese, or in your favorite salad!
