Loving Lately and True Food Kitchen
Rule #298: Being pregnant means you’re shopping for two.
It’s that time again! Time to share a few things I’ve been loving lately. I also wanted to share a great little spot called True Food Kitchen. I know many of you have probably heard of that place already, but I just recently got to try it last weekend! Before I start sharing all the goodness that is True Food though, let’s get to those things I’m loving lately.
I’ve found my new favorite jewelry line! A friend of a friend of mine has started her own line of super cute jewelry, and I’m already obsessed. These cute wood hoops go with literally anything. Plus, I wore them all day last Saturday and didn’t want to rip my ears off! She has a some super cute earrings and bracelets for sale now, so be sure to check out her Instagram (linked below).
JJ Leigh Designs Wood Hoops | $20
I’m in love with this adorable hat I found originally on Jane.com, but then tracked it down to its Etsy home for y’all! I’ve embarrassingly worn it about 5 times in the past 8 days. I’ll let you do the math and decide how many times I’ve showered in that time…
State ‘Home’ Trucker Hat | $20
You can pick your state + thread color, too!
I’ve had this adorable pair of wedges in my wish list foreverrrrr (or just a few weeks), and saw them in the store finally. They’re even cuter in person, so I caved immediately! They very comfy, even for this pregnant lady, and Michael Kors shoes always last me a long time.
Michael Kors Berkley Wedges (7 colors) | $99
Speaking of being pregnant, I needed (okay, wanted) a couple pairs of comfortable shoes I can wear around the house. These are so stinking cute – I may or may not have actually worn them out of the store. Let’s keep that as our little secret though.
Michael Kors Mimi Slide Sandal (3 colors) | $59
I never thought in my life that I would ever own a pair of Birkenstocks, but here I am, at 31, buying my first pair. And LOVING them! These little lovelies are comfy and adorable. There are 5 colors to choose from, but I had to go with the super cute pinky-pink.
Birkenstock Arizona Slide Sandal (5 colors) | $40
I wear them with socks usually because I feel like my level of “cool” can’t get much higher than this. I’ve got to own it.
If you’re looking for THE mask that will make your life better, then this is the one you need. I’m kind of obsessed with my mask regimen now that I’ve found it. It helps clear blemishes, shrinks your pores, and leaves your face feeling super clean.
Colleen Rothschild Clarifying Detox Mask | $48
I also recently found this dual enzyme polish which really acts like a minor chemical peel. Because I have melasma, I have to really be sure to exfoliate my skin so the layers of darker skin are removed as quickly as possible. I was so scared to try this the first time because you just never know what to expect with products like this. I was beyond happy after wiping off the polish! My face was much smoother, less dull, and I felt like the layers of darker skin I dread were gone. I rotate between this polish and the detox mask about 3-4 times a week.
Colleen Rothschild Dual Enzyme Polish | $55
I really dreaded the thought of having to buy another maternity piece not knowing if I’ll need it in the future. Since I’m further along this pregnancy than last time, I definitely needed a larger bathing suit for these hot months! This one is absolutely wonderful because of the comfort and stretch potential in the belly. There’s plenty of good padding and coverage in the chest, too.
Noppies St. Tropez Maternity Swimsuit | $65
Floral Pattern Leather Watch Band for Apple Watch (38mm and 42mm) (tons of colors) | $13
Floral Silicone Apple Watch Band (38mm and 42mm) (16 colors) | $12
True Food Kitchen is such a unique and unbelievably delicious concept! They are all about fresh, real ingredients paired in the most perfect way possible. Everything we had was delicious, healthy, and satisfying. You can eat and drink to your heart’s content and feel good while doing it! I will definitely be going back soon! There are locations all over the U.S. with two being in Houston. We ventured to the spot in The Woodlands.
We started with two appetizers:
Spring Asparagus Toast
and the Charred Cauliflower
My gorgeous sisters-in-law each had the Citrus Skinny Margarita (I had a sip, and it was delicious!)
I had the Sparkling Antioxidant Tea… correction… I had TWO Sparkling Antioxidant Teas! They were so refreshing and delicious that I almost felt like I was having a real big girl drink, too. I would order it again and again and again.
Here are the yummies we ordered as our entrees:
Mediterranean Chicken Pita with Sweet Potato Hash
Organic Tuscan Kale Salad
Grilled Chicken Salad (that champagne vinaigrette is UNREAL)
Grilled Artichoke + Pesto Pizza
Everything was so yummy, but I have to say, I’m excited to go back and try some more cocktails and about 21 more things on the menu! It took us a hot minute to decide on what to order because everything sounded so good. It’s hard to find a place with such a great menu using of high quality ingredients in such a unique way.
Happy Friday Eve, y’all!
I hope you enjoyed this Loving Lately and True Food Kitchen post. If you did, check out these other similar posts.
I love Colleen Rothschild too! I haven’t try the enzyme one yet but I do that other mask on the regular and it’s works so well! I also use her gel cleanser which I love! I used to have bad acne because of health conditions and my skin has cleared up completely! And I’m looking for a fun Apple Watch band. Thanks for sharing!
