Fall Decor

Rule #529: It’s fall when the pregnant lady says it is.

I know, I know, I know. It’s only August. BUT… fall is my absolute FAVORITE season, and Baby G #2 is due any minute now. I wanted to have the house all prepped and ready for my favorite time of year before we become a family of four. I love decorating for all the different seasons of the year; it’s like you get to give your house a little remake every few months. This year’s fall decor is my favorite so far in the three fall seasons we’ve lived in this house.

I tried to keep the decor simple yet warm and inviting this year. I love me some pumpkins and pinecones as you will probably be able to tell.

I’m so glad we got the rug in the dining room earlier this year! It adds some much needed warmth to the space. We had to switch the lamp to the other side of the room because Baby G #2’s swing is currently in its spot!

I’m still digging our new console table in the dining room. It’s the perfect fit for the tiny space we have! I’m really trying to make it more of a ‘bar cart’ feel, but toddlers don’t always mix well with breakables.

I told you I love me some pumpkins and pinecones.

Have you noticed that most of my pictures are crooked for this post?! I have no excuse except to blame the baby. I guess my center of gravity is a little off these days!

I decided to decorate our hutch in the kitchen area with you guessed it… pumpkins and pinecones! I just love the natural ‘fall’ feel they give any space.

And I threw a little touch of fall in the media area of the living room.

If you don’t already take pictures of your home decor randomly throughout the year, I definitely recommend it! It’s so fun to see the many changes your house goes through year by year. Happy Fall, y’all!
