I think it’s safe to say that this big guy had an awesome 2nd birthday party! I can’t believe my chubby, fuzzy little ball of joy is now a TWO YEAR OLD. I feel like it was less than 24 hours ago that we were released from the hospital with that oh-dear-God-they’re-just-giving-us-this-kid look. I’ve loved every minute of being this handsome man’s Mama. I can’t wait to see what laughs + tricks our little pilot comes up with this next year.
I wanted to share some of the details from his party because I had wayyyyy too much fun planning it! I did things on the cheap, but tried to keep them as cute and “on-theme” as possible.
I decided to do a few simple signs (linked below) for around the house. ‘Baggage Claim’ was where we put all the party favors. The little signs are actually from IKEA for 99 cents!
Aviator Signs | Pinwheels | Foam Airplanes {Dollar Tree} | Inflatable Airplanes | Invitations | Corey’s Shirt
Other links {not pictured but still fun!}: Aviator Hat + Goggles, Aviator Jacket [Corey was an aviator for Halloween, too, so we got double the use out of the costume], Airplane + Cloud Cookie Cutters
I loved getting to decorate for this fella’s birthday party! Here are a few of those details:
HEB is my fave grocery store for so many reasons. Reason #284: they’ll air up the balloons you bring them for $1 each {we bought ours on Amazon – link below}. Reason #285: they have awesome balloons like this fella below. Reason #286: they let us drop off our balloons + order the day before the party and had them ready at 8:00 the next morning.
I snagged the vintage airplanes from Hobby Lobby at half price. They made great centerpieces + anchors for the balloons. The ‘Pilot’s Lounge’ was meant to be the kids’ table outside, but it was a littttttle too windy to put the sign out. So, we just did the birthday cupcake + Happy Birthday song inside.
This sign is pretty self-explanatory. I purchased the font from Creative Market Fonts, and it came with a bundle of about 6 options to use with this specific font.
We kept the food simple and kid friendly: sandwiches from HEB, chips, donut holes, cupcakes, Spinach Dip, veggie + fruit trays, and Oreo Fluff Dip (recipe below).
That jar of candy is definitely leftover from Halloween. The rain really put a biggo whopper on Trick-or-Treating this year, so we’ve got no less than 16 pounds of candy leftover…

Corey was getting in on the party setup {and eating lots and lots and lots of ice}.
He was NOT a fan of the bouncy house at first, but eventually he warmed up to it.
Hooray! Big thanks to his Uncle Drew for getting him to go into the bouncy house + down the slide!
Corey + His Noni. He’s definitely saying, “GOOO ASSTROOOOSSS!” right here. Hey, gotta do what works, right?
Little Man had so much fun playing with all his friends + family! We had to get a little baseball action there because, well… GO ASTROS!
HUGE thank you to everyone who came and helped celebrate our favorite little chunk. The love surrounding this precious angel baby is so profound.
Mama + Daddy had to get a little jumping time in the Bounce House after a long day of partying.
Tired Parents = A Good Party!
Look at those newborn cheekies!
I still see this sweet baby face every time I look at my Big Man.

Thanks for sharing his wonderful day!
