Loving Lately + Simple Caprese Salad

Rule #65: Good things are worth sharing.

It’s been a while since I shared some of my favorite products + pieces, so I thought I’d do a quick post (because… two kids under three doesn’t allow for lengthy ones…) about some things I’m loving lately. Here we go!

I was super excited to find this cute little necklace for just $22! I love the length because I can wear it with simple tunic shirts or layer it with other pieces if I want. I’ve been loving the layering look, but it’s adorable on its own, too!

I found these tunics on Nordstrom – they were orginally $19, but now they’re marked down to only $15! I bought three colors just for good measure. I love them because they’re light (hello, Texas “winter”), they go past your tushy, and they’re slightly snug but not skin-tight. To me, it’s the perfect tunic. For sizing, I ordered a small.

I’m also wearing the BP Side Slit Tee in this picture, just in black obviously!

I found this vest while browsing online the last time I was getting my hair back to my ‘natural’ blonde. J.Crew was having a 40% off sale, so this was an absolute steal! It’s not on sale right now, but it’s still worth saving to your wish list or even buying outright. It’s comfy and not allowed to go ANYWHERE near my kids. Spit up and drool stay away!

I scored bigtime on Amazon a few weeks ago with these $15 sunglasses. I’ve been sporting my same aviators for a few years now and just wanted to have something that was different. Corey even noticed and said, “Mama! I like your new glasses!” That kid is super observant. That could come back to haunt me later…

This is hands down my favorite find the past few months. I’ve got a condition called melasma, which basically means I’ve got some spots on my face that are darker than others for no good reason. They don’t know exactly what causes melasma, so treating it is pretty tough. Most folks result to chemical peels to get rid of the discoloration. This Caudalie VinoPerfect Overnight Renewal Cream has been a dream come true. It’s the only cream that’s made my discoloration disappear. I’ve even tried ridiculously expensive dermatologist products that haven’t done as much for me. I apply it to other areas of my face as well. I can tell that it’s helping to shrink pores, make my skin tone more even, and has improved its texture.

These two products together have changed my WORLD when it comes to daily makeup. They’ve taken the place of my foundation for a few reasons, and their names are: Corey, Brooke, and I-Don’t-Have-Time. I put the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow primer on first all over my face and then let it dry. Then, I put on the Supergoop Daily Correct CC Cream (about a dime size) and rub it all over like I would a normal foundation using a beauty sponge like this one. It’s the perfect amount of coverage with minimal effort.

*Also – I heard that you can return makeup to Nordstrom IF the color doesn’t match. Anyone else know of this to be true? I haven’t returned any makeup before, but I thought I’d throw that out there.*

Can’t stop. Won’t stop. I’ve posted this lip treatment about 391 times, and here it is again. That’s because I’m in love with it. It makes your lips so unbelievably soft! I’ve never had a lip product I’ve loved more. You can also buy different tinted versions.

I’m also a huge fan of Fresh’s skincare line. It’s helped keep my skin clear during pregnancy and now postpartum. Plus, the price is pretty good for a nice skincare routine!

The Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Cream makes my skin feel so moisturized. It’s a heavier cream, so I wear it as my night cream. I’ve noticed a HUGE difference in how much smoother my skin looks and feels after using this product for a few months now.

I know a lot of y’all are really good with the wraps and K’tans and all that good stuff. I couldn’t figure out how to wrap them no matter how many YouTube videos I watched, people I texted, and instruction manuals I read. I’m just not meant to wear the things. This wrap was cheap and does the job just fine! Brooke has helped me cook dinner a few times now… although she sure is a mouthy (and cute) little sous chef. (Sorry, not sorry about the lack of makeup. I was happy to have brushed my teeth that day.)

I also discovered this delicious balsamic glaze from Trader Joe’s (Trader Giotto’s is I guess their ‘Italian’ line?). I’ve been drizzling it on my fast Caprese Salad (recipe below) and it’s been sooooo yummy. It’s not too sweet and has that perfect little balsamic zip!
