Christmas Decor 2017 season is here, y’all! Time to bust out the tacky sweaters, egg nog, and all the Christmas movies + music! We decorated the house in big fashion this year, so I thought I’d share some of the deets. It’s nice that we’re finally feeling ‘settled’ after living here for over a year. Last year it felt like we were still dodging boxes and handymen while trying to decorate the tree. This year was much smoother, sweeter, and full of the Christmas Spirit. With that said… here’s what we’ve got happenin’ at our casa this Christmas season:

I’m still SO pumped about our new dining room rug! It goes so well with the dining room goodies.

Jon Boy is my hero. He climbed alllllll the way up an 8 ft. ladder to assemble this little Nook of Joy [catchy, right?] He did it all by himself. I think I’ll keep him.

I had to take a few shots of some of my fave ornaments. This little lovely is all sloppy glitter glue and fuzzy kitty cat sweatshirt goodness. Shout out to those bangs, too.

This one is very special – it belonged to Jon Boy’s grandpa who passed earlier this year. We have a few pieces up in the house that are meant to be a remembrance of him. I love pieces that have deep meaning and memories.

Jon Boy’s grandma gave us this ornament last year to commemorate Big C’s first birthday (it was allll nautical themed). Such a precious little gift and memory!

We’re one stocking shorter this year since Osa’s passing, but I still love the way the mantle turned out.

So, if you haven’t noticed yet, I’m slightly obsessed with fake candles. I don’t even want to admit how many we actually have (or how much we spend on batteries). BUT I had to share an awesome find with y’all.

I found TEA LIGHTS that operate on a TIMER and come with a REMOTE plus EXTRA BATTERIES. You get 12 candles + remote + extra batteries for $13 on Amazon. Whhhaaattt! Call me Kris Kringle, y’all.

You can adjust whether or not they flicker, how bright or dim they are, and set the timer using the remote.

Okay – enough of the Tea Light Infomercial. This sign is an oldie from a few years ago. I had it made back when Red Envelope was still in business (loooooved that store). I personalized it all myself – text, colors, etc. It makes me oh so happy.

It’s right above this little setup in our entryway.

The hutch in our kitchen turned out pretty good this year, too. The nativity scene was actually my Daddy’s, so it’s got a few bumps and bruises. Jon Boy refuses to let it go though, so we set it up for all to see this year.

[See them tea lights again?]

These four little beauties were all $1 each sometime back from Hobby Lobby. Gotta love a good sale. Disregard Frosty’s little chipped carrot nose there…

I hope y’all are getting into the holiday spirit. I’d love to see your pictures and ideas for decorations!
